FORENSIC AND EXPERT SERVICES

EXPERT WITNESS AND LEGAL SUPPORT
Builders, developers and insurance companies come to SFB for our expert witness and legal consulting. We are knowledgeable of the legal and regulatory landscape in California and, if necessary, experienced and professional in courtroom presentation. Our company focus on communication has given us considerable experience translating complicated engineering jargon into language appropriate for understanding by a layperson. Because we continue to be involved in engineering issues across the West, we are current in the legal issues facing our industry.

FORENSIC ANALYSIS
We perform geotechnical and geological forensic analyses for numerous clients on completed projects throughout California and the West. Our expertise is in groundwater, seepage, drainage, ground settlement, landslides and other slope movements, and foundation, slab-on-grade and pavement distress. Typically, we review plans and specifications, perform unpublished and published literature review, complete analysis of site geomorphology using stereoscopic, aerial photographs, geologic and geotechnical mapping, and computer aided analyses for subsurface explorations. Our forensic analysis has allowed us to develop an expertise in establishing loss prevention practices for our clients-practices incorporated in all our design work and construction activities.
