STORM WATER MANAGEMENT AND
EROSION CONTROL
The importance of storm water and erosion / sediment management at
construction sites has become vitally important as local regulations
and enforcement of the Clean Water Act has become even stricter. In
today's regulatory climate, storm water runoff from many construction
sites must now be sampled and analyzed. With EPA Phase II now in effect,
construction projects of one acre or more in size must now have formal
SWPPP's in place.
Costly delays and fines can derail project budgets and schedules
when erosion and sediment are not properly controlled. Proper phasing,
temporary and permanent BMP's and management of subcontractors'
activities are expected throughout the life of a project. In our
experience, successful storm water compliance requires daily management.
For residential developments, pipeline projects, refinery upgrades
and transportation projects, we have prepared storm water management
manuals and designed and delivered training programs for public
and private builders.
